2. The car owner can remove and disassemble the cylinder head, perform a preliminary cleaning and inspection of the parts, then reassemble it and take it to a service station. An inspection will help you assess the condition of the head and valve mechanism and determine what work needs to be performed by a service station or auto repair shop specialist and what spare parts will be needed.
3. At the service station, the valves and springs will be removed, the valve seats and guide bushings will be repaired or replaced, and they will be checked. if necessary, they will replace the springs, plates and crackers, replace the oil deflector caps and clean the valve mechanism. At the station, the flatness of the mating surface with the block will be checked and, if necessary, the surface will be treated.
4. After all these works are completed by a specialist, the head will fit like new. After returning the head from repair, rinse it again and blow it with compressed air to remove any remaining abrasive and chips from the process.
