2. If the head was sent to the workshop to repair the valve mechanism, then all the parts of the valve mechanism in it are already in place. In this case, continue assembly from step 8.
3. Lubricate the valve guides and valve stems and insert the valves into the cylinder head. Install the valves in their original places DO NOT CONFUSE!
4. Lubricate the valve stems and dip the new valve stem seals in oil. Install the caps on the valve guides.
Note. Inlet and exhaust valve caps are different - exhaust valve caps have ridges on top. but no inlets. DO NOT confuse them! Carefully press the caps into place until they seat on the guide bushings (pic. 12.4).
Caution: Do not hit the seals with a hammer after they have settled into place, otherwise they may be damaged. Do not twist or warp the seals, otherwise they will not seal the rods.
5. Lower the reconciliation onto the guide bushing with the lower spring plate, then install the spring and the upper plate.
6. Compress the spring with a tool, insert crackers into the groove of the rod and carefully release the spring, making sure that the crackers fit correctly into place. Apply a small amount of grease to the pegs to prevent them from falling out during installation (pic. 12.6).
7. Install other valves in the same way. Hit the ends of the valve stems two or three times with a plastic hammer until the crackers finally snap into place.
